Short answer: The longest bathtubs we carry are about 84 inches long, like the Atlantis 84 x 43 drop-in tubs. The widest rectangular tub is 54 inches across, the Atlantis 72 x 54. Among freestanding tubs, the longest is about 74 1/2 inches. But a bigger outside doesn't always mean more room inside. Some 67-inch tubs list twice the water of the 84-inch ones.
So before you shop for "the biggest tub", decide what you really want more of: length to stretch out, width for two people, or deep water. Each of those leads to a different tub.
All sizes come from the brands' own listings, length x width in inches.

Longest. The 84-inch Atlantis tubs are the longest in our catalog. They are drop-in tubs, so they sit inside a deck or platform that you or your contractor builds. Look at the basin, though. The inside measures about 71 1/2 inches long, because the wide rim and deck take up the rest. If you're tall and want to lie flat, the inside length is the number to compare.
Widest. The Atlantis 72 x 54 tubs are the widest rectangular tubs we list, and the listing describes molded seating for two adults. At 45 3/4 inches inside, this basin is wider than many tubs are on the outside. For freestanding tubs, the widest is the Magnus 71" Extra Wide Foster at 43 1/2 inches.
Most water. This one surprises people. The Magnus 67" Extra Wide Bazel lists 120 gallons, twice what the 84-inch Atlantis lists. Its shape is deep and steep-sided rather than long, so more of the outside size becomes water. One caution: each brand measures capacity its own way. Atlantis lists "average water capacity" and Magnus lists "gallon capacity". Compare gallons within one brand when you can, and use the soaking depth too.
If deep water is what you're after, our extra-deep soaking tubs guide compares depth to the overflow in more detail.
Many Atlantis corner tubs are sold as "60 x 60", but their listings show a much bigger overall size. The Atlantis Alexandria lists 84 5/8 x 67 1/8 inches overall, and the Atlantis Eclipse lists 85 x 63 5/8 inches.
Corner tubs take up the most floor space of any type, but they don't always hold the most water. The Alexandria lists 40 gallons, fewer than many 72-inch rectangular tubs. Plan your deck from the overall size and the installation drawing on the listing, never from the name. Browse all corner bathtubs.
Freestanding tubs top out shorter than drop-in tubs. The longest we carry is the Magnus 74" Pasco at 74 1/2 inches. The Anzzi Ala is close behind at 74.4 inches. A freestanding tub needs no deck, but it does need open floor on every side, so you can clean around it and reach the drain.
Material changes the weight a lot. The 74" Pasco is acrylic and lists 155 pounds empty. The Anzzi Ala is solid surface and lists 275 pounds. For a side-by-side look at lengths from 55 to 76 inches, see freestanding tub sizes, or shop freestanding bathtubs.
Not always. For two people, width matters more than length. A long, narrow tub can still feel tight with two bathers. Our two-person bathtub sizing guide explains the widths to look for. You can also browse two-person and extra-wide bathtubs directly.
A large tub is a bigger project than a standard 60-inch tub. Check these four things first:
Our tub size calculator can help you see which tub sizes may suit your space.
In our catalog, the longest tubs are about 84 x 43 inches (Atlantis drop-in). The widest rectangular tub is 72 x 54 inches. Corner tubs take the most floor space, up to about 85 x 67 inches overall.
There's no official cutoff. Most standard tubs are 60 inches long and about 30 to 32 inches wide. Our Large & Extra-Wide Bathtubs collection groups the tubs that are longer or wider than that.
Not always. The 84-inch Atlantis tubs list 60 gallons, while the 67-inch Magnus Extra Wide Bazel lists 120. Depth and wall shape matter as much as length.
The longest freestanding tub we carry right now is the Magnus 74" Pasco, at 74 1/2 inches.
