Roughing in a Symmons tub and shower? The Symmons Temptrol valve body, model S262XBODY, is a 4 port pressure-balancing tub and shower valve body with integral diverter and service stops. It goes in the wall behind a Symmons Temptrol trim.
This listing is the valve body only. The trim (handle, cover plate, showerhead and spout) is sold separately. Symmons names this valve body for its S9608PLR15TRM and S550815TRM trims, and its S-4702 Allura trim calls for an S262 series valve.
The valve is built of brass, bronze and stainless steel, with a one-piece cast brass body. Symmons describes an adjustable piston that balances the hot and cold water pressure as demand in the plumbing system changes. It has the VersaFlex integral diverter, which diverts the water to the outlets without a separate diverter valve. It has EasyService stops, which shut the water off at the valve for service without shutting down the whole water supply. It comes with 1/2 in. NPT threaded and direct sweat connection inlets and outlets. Stringer mounts are included. Symmons states that the outlets are not to be plugged.
