Roughing in a Symmons tub and shower? The Symmons Temptrol valve body, model S262BRBODY, is a 4 port pressure-balancing tub and shower valve body with integral diverter, on Symmons' Rapid Install Bracket. It goes in the wall behind a Symmons Temptrol trim.
This listing is the valve body only. The trim (handle, cover plate, showerhead and spout) is sold separately. Symmons names this valve body for its S9608PLR15TRM and S550815TRM trims, and its S-4702 Allura trim calls for an S262 series valve.
The valve is built of brass, bronze and stainless steel, with a one-piece cast brass body. Symmons describes an adjustable piston that balances the hot and cold water pressure as demand in the plumbing system changes. It has the VersaFlex integral diverter, which diverts the water to the outlets without a separate diverter valve. It comes with 1/2 in. NPT threaded and direct sweat connection inlets and outlets. This model comes with Symmons' factory-installed Rapid Install Bracket, which has 4 metal straps and screws and secures the valve between wall studs up to 24 inches apart, center to center.
