Sizing a master mixing valve for a hot water system? The Symmons TempControl, model 7-900, is a thermostatic master mixing valve built of brass, bronze and stainless steel. It has a 1-1/2 in. female NPT inlet and a 1-1/2 in. female NPT outlet.
Symmons gives a temperature control range of 70°F to 150°F. Symmons states that thermostatic water controllers should be sized by the flow capacity required from the valve, not by the pipe size supplied to it. Symmons describes TempControl valves for commercial or residential use.
