Sizing a master mixing valve for a hot water system? The Symmons TempControl, model 7-700, is a thermostatic master mixing valve built of brass, bronze and stainless steel. It has a 1-1/4 in. female NPT inlet and a 1-1/2 in. female NPT outlet.
Symmons gives a temperature control range of 70°F to 150°F. The valve has serviceable integral check stops. Symmons states that thermostatic water controllers should be sized by the flow capacity required from the valve, not by the pipe size supplied to it.
