Roughing in a Symmons tub and shower? The Symmons Temptrol valve body, model 262BODY, is a 4 port pressure-balancing tub and shower valve body. It goes in the wall behind a Symmons Temptrol trim.
This listing is the valve body only. The trim (handle, cover plate, showerhead and spout) is sold separately. Symmons names this valve body for its 9605-PLR-1.5-TRM, 3592BMB15TRM and 3692MB15TRM trims.
The valve is built of brass, bronze and stainless steel, with a one-piece cast brass body. Symmons describes an adjustable piston that balances the hot and cold water pressure as demand in the plumbing system changes. It comes with 1/2 in. NPT threaded and direct sweat connection inlets and outlets. Symmons states that the body is designed to accommodate back-to-back and thin-wall installations. Stringer mounts are included.
