Sizing a master mixing valve for a hot water system? The Symmons TempControl, model 7-1000, is a thermostatic master mixing valve built of brass, bronze and stainless steel. It has a 1-1/2 in. inlet and a 2 in. outlet.
Symmons gives a temperature control range of 70°F to 150°F. Symmons states that thermostatic water controllers should be sized by the flow capacity required from the valve, not by the pipe size supplied to it.
