Bathtubs

60 x 30 inches (length x width) is the size most people mean by a standard tub, and every alcove tub we carry is 60 x 30 or 60 x 32. The name isn't always the exact measurement, so plan from the dimensions in the listing.

An alcove tub fits a recess with walls on three sides and has a finished front, called a skirt. A drop-in tub is set into a deck you build, and its rim rests on top. A freestanding tub stands on its own and uses a floor-mounted tub filler or a wall-mounted faucet.

Acrylic is the lightest and easiest to install, especially upstairs; insulated acrylic holds heat better than thin single-wall acrylic. Stone resin is heavier and holds heat very well. Cast iron is the heaviest, so for an upstairs bathroom, have a contractor check the floor.

A whirlpool pushes bath water through adjustable jets for a strong, targeted massage. An air tub blows warm air through many small holes for a gentler, all-over bubbling, and its air lines purge themselves after each bath, while a whirlpool needs regular cleaning cycles. Both need their own electrical supply and an access panel for the motor.

Atlantis Whirlpool, Magnus Home Products, Anzzi and Trone tubs ship free on every order, and the other tubs here ship free on orders of $1,500+. Tubs that ship by freight truck are unloaded at the curb after the carrier calls you to schedule a delivery appointment, and delivery inside your home is available by quote.

Most items can be returned within 30 days of delivery if unused and in the original packaging, with a 25% restocking fee; contact us first to arrange it. Atlantis Whirlpool tubs and tubs ordered with the air-jet option are made to order and final sale. If your order shipped free, the shipping we paid is deducted from the refund.
